Weekend in Georgia

This past weekend we spent in Atlanta, Georgia for Shawna's wedding. It was a great time!

We flew Bobby's mom up to watch Caleb, but took Micah with us. This was his first plane trip and he did amazing -
Here he is sleeping on the (luckily) empty seat between us.
Our first day there was just traveling and getting settled in. Then we had the rehearsal and dinner. Of course, Caleb got passed around at dinner. Here he is with Marie -
And the mother of the bride (who needs a grandkid soon!) -
Even our waitress held him for a while and later on in the evening she actually rocked him to sleep!
The next morning we went to Waffle House for breakfast - yummy!
While we were there, Micah was sitting in his car seat on a high chair. It some slipped and tipped over - we caught him, but not before he bonked his head on the table. So sad!
Later that day was the beautiful wedding. Here's Micah waiting for the ceremony to start -
Bride and father -
Bobby had the opportunity to officiate the ceremony - his first wedding! He did an amazing job and it was such an honor. This is the only picture I got of him - I think his eyes are closed because he is praying.
Listening to Bobby -
My view of the last half of the ceremony - I had to move back because Micah started making some noise - it was such a beautiful setting for a wedding.
My favorite picture of the happy couple - they are newly married and laughing as they are dodging bird seed.
My boys, hanging out at the reception -
Cutting the cake -
Getting ready to leave -
The bouquet toss on the way out - Shawna threw it over the heads of all the girls and some old guy caught it!
The next day we went to church and then hung out in downtown Atlanta for awhile. The coolest part (literally and figuratively) was the olympic park and this cool fountain.
That night we went with Los (whose house we stayed at while there) to this authentic Southern BBQ place. It was perfect - in an old barn, live music, great unhealthy food, and in the middle of dinner the thunderstorm started!
It was a wonderful weekend and we were so thankful that we were able to go and celebrate with Shawna and Simon - congrats to you both! We know God will bless your marriage!

Video of the Week

Just a fun video of Caleb singing his ABC's - and being distracted by everything!

Fourth of July

We had a fun and fairly relaxing Independence Day this year. We spent the morning at Wilder Ranch and their "Old Fashioned Fourth of July." After Caleb threw a couple of fits, we went home and gave the boys naps. After naps it was relaxing, barbecuing at home, and an early bed time!

Here's some pictures from Wilder Ranch. While we were waiting for the Kertsons to get there, Caleb made a patriotic fan.

After taking a picture of him, he wanted to take my picture with the fan. He's getting pretty good behind the camera!
The Kertsons arrived and Caleb was pretty excited -
Friends, running around the grass -
Micah -
Waiting for the raising of the flag -
It was very exciting . . .
The kids had fun looking at some of the animals they had there. They even got to pet a chicken -
Cute pic -
Looking at the sheep -
And my favorite picture of all, Dad coming back after changing Caleb's pants (he's been having lots of accidents lately!). Caleb was ready for a nap!
Hope you all had wonderful celebrations. Happy Fourth of July!

CLC Picnic

This past Sunday our church had a summer bbq/picnic. The weather was perfect, the food was yummy, and the company was awesome. I took a ton of pictures!

Caleb somehow got his hands on a cookie before the bbq even started!

Micah had fun just laying in the sun with his girl -

This is his Superman pose - he does it all the time.

Caleb and his friends played in the bed of our friend's truck - it was a great place to keep them contained for awhile and they had tons of fun!

Then there had to be the annual game of softball, which ended in a tie (Bobby was pretty upset about that!).

Shawna held Micah for a long time while watching the game - I think they'll miss each other!

Caleb had fun watching the game too. He especially loved cheering for Peyton's "ya ya" even though he didn't know who it was.

Fun times! Yay for summer!

Shawn'a Bridal Shower

Our wonderful friend, Shawna, is getting married (in like a week!) and I got to throw her a bridal shower with some of her friends here before she left. Here's some random pictures - mostly of the toilet paper dress game. I had never played it before and it was really fun! We got some lovely creations!

Congratulations, Shawna! We love you and will miss you greatly.

Video of the Week

If you have spent anytime with Micah, you might have noticed that he always has his mouth open. This past week he discovered his lips and that he can close his mouth! He's been playing with his lips, making bubbles, and has this totally different cute look. I got some video of it - it's goes on for a little while and I thought about editing it out, but then at the end Caleb uses his "talk to baby" voice (as he's crawling into my lap to see what I am doing) and it's kinda cute, so I left it in.

Gizdich with Shawna

Yup. I made another trip to Gizdich! Shawna wanted to check it out as well, so we made our fourth trip to this beautiful ranch to pick more yummy strawberries! She is getting married and moving to Austria in a week and a half, so it was great to spend the time with her. Here's a few pictures -
